![]() I was just curious if it could be done using photos really. I realize this isn't a great method, and that there are even better ways to extract 3d data from google maps/earth by debugging your gpu. This is probably something obvious, but What's LI? Does anyone have any other suggestions for HQ google earth 3D imagery? I would appreciate any suggestions!Īlso I would be more than happy to share this Dataset with anyone who is interested. I'm gonna try a few adjustments using this dataset, but I would like to try this workflow on some other Google Earth Models. The hardest part was finding objects that are evenly lit in google earth. Metashape had no problem aligning the images and I was able to produce a pretty HQ Model on my first try. Initially I didn’t have super high expectations (honestly I didn't think it would work at all), but it actually worked surprisingly well. ![]() I picked Monument Valley because It was the highest quality 3d Imagery I could find. I use Metashape Pro for work So I decided to do some experimenting to try to make the highest quality model possible using only images from google earth. I have access to Google Earth Studio for school, and I realized that it allows you to export cameras with the GPS Data included in the exif data.
